Sterling Hammered Silver Teapot, Help w Maker PT 905
I have a beautiful large sterling silver teapot, 995 grams marked on bottom PT905 inside a kite shape. At first I was unsure of the composition mostly because of the weight, so I started with an acid scratch test and knew for sure it was at least silverplated but it just had the qualities and finish...

Help to identify mark. Two standing animals under a tree under a crown
Have another mystery. Have looked through the silverplate marks pages and can't find this one. Looks like there were two calligraphy letters on each side of the mark that have rubbed off. Possibly an S on the right hand side. This is on a footed clam shell serving dish with candle holders. Any help ...

Covered Bowl/ Help with Marks (2)
Hello, I have what appears to be a silver (composition unknown) covered 3 footed bowl done in a middle east shape and motif. There is a mark on the bottom center of bowl. Any help deciphering the script would be greatly appreciated! http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t88/dasis72/DSC03450y.jpg http:/...

L.G Makers Mark with 6 (crecent moon & dot) Tipping Teapot Server
Have looked and looked and can't find this mark. L.G, 500, with a 6 and a crescent moon and dot. The crescent moon and dot are found both on the foot and the bottom of the pot. Any help is greatly appreciated. Rebecca http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t88/dasis72/DSC03329y.jpg http://i158.photobuck...

Repousse Sterling Top Dresser Jar - Help deciphering mark
I have a glass dresser jar with a sterling top. Looks like the makers mark is hand engraved and I can't make out the name. Does anyone recognize this signature? The makers signature is followed by the word 'Sterling' and then followed by another number that looks to be 911. Any assistance is greatly...

Help to ID PT 905 Mark on Hammered Silver Teapot
I have what I believe is a well done hammered teapot. Mark on bottom reads PT905 inside a shape similar to a diamond. I'm not sure of the composition but am certain it is silver or silverplate. Any ideas as to who could have made this piece or the origin? There is also a calligraphy G monogrammed on...

Galician, Spain, Porteguese Makers Mark?
I have a bowl with a hallmark in the middle center that reads 925, (an unknown symbol), P. XEIPO. I believe the Xeipo is of Galician, Spain, or Portugal origin. Any help with identifying the origin and maker are greatly appreciated. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t88/dasis72/DSC03172y.jpg http:/...

Help w/ID, Makers Mark 800 silver spoons, Middle East Mark
Have a set of 3 7/8" silver spoons. All of them are punched on the back with several markings. The only clear mark, to me, is the standard mark 800. The makers mark looks to be of middle east origin. There is what looks to be a quality mark but it's just too small to see with the equipment I ha...

Is this mark Middle East Script of some sort?
I have what appears to be a high end, quality made necklace with Persian turquoise pear cabochons, silver clasp and silver beads. There is a silver clasp with markings that look like middle east script of some sort. I've looked at several alphabets and haven't been able to make a match. Thoughts? Th...

Help with marks on bowl
I believe this to be solid silver and not plated. However, cannot find anything regarding the marks on this bowl. It's beautifully done. The work is intricate. It's reticulated with raised draping rosettes, and scrolls and birds all worked into the design of the bowl and foot. Measures 6 7/8" w...

Re: Covered Bowl Help w/Marks
I greatly appreciate all your help. I am trying to do more research and was wondering if you looked at the small symbol at the top of the main 3 lines of writing. I wonder if this is a purity mark? It looks like two circles with a line above them extending out to what looks to be a hook. I'm attachi...

Help needed to ID 'Sterling' Makers Hallmark
I have a pair of candlesticks. They are in hammered sterling silver and appear to be in an 'Arts & Crafts' style. The bottom markings are extremely worn down. Only one of the bottoms can be partially read. I can make out 'Cement Weighted' and the end of 'Sterling - the ING. With a very high magn...
