Dear FTJJ,
Thanks for the help. I will put “The Chan Collection” into eBay as a "saved search!" Do you happen to know whether “The Chait Collection of Chinese Export Silver” and “Chinese Export Silver 1785-1885 - Forbes, Kernan, Wilkins” mention the retailer WA? (I would hate to buy a book I don't ...

Re: Please Identify This Hallmark!
Dear FTJJ,
Thank you ever so much for sharing your wisdom. I continue to be amazed by how helpful and knowledgeable people I "meet" on the internet can be!
I tried to buy a copy of the book you cited, “Chinese Export Silver - The Chan Collection.” But unfortunately it is out of print and I cannot ...

Re: Please Identify This Hallmark!
So sorry, David.
I misunderstood the rules. I thought I couldn't "link" (i.e. use the URL button) to an auction.
(For the record, this is only my second post.)
Also, since I'm not a commercial person, and I'm not trying to sell anything, it never occurred to me that I might be doing something ...

Please Identify This Hallmark!
Hello.
This mark is from a silver dragon menu holder.
Can anyone identify the maker?
What does the "90 WA" mean?
Approximately what is the age of the piece?
Thank you very much in advance!

Re: Mystery Candlestick Mark
Thank you so much, Cheryl. We are thrilled that you have identified the mark–and that it is not from an obscure company!
These candlesticks are a family heirloom–and we're very eager to determine who initially purchased them. In order to do this, we'd love to narrow down possible years of ...

Re: Mystery Candlestick Mark
Hi Cheryl,
It was pretty scary trying to get the photos uploaded properly so I could ask you experts!
I found the La Pierre mark myself weeks ago, but it does not match exactly. Are you sure they are the makers? And if so, where might I find a list of all the marks they used?
Thanks,
Penelope

Never mind–I figured it out! I thought you were suggesting that I use it to decrease their size...
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Mystery Candlestick Mark
I have tried to research this mark myself to no avail. Does anyone here have an idea who the maker is?
Thank you very much in advance.
Penelope

Re: Administrator--Please Help!
Hi Trev–
I still don't get it. I have two very small images on my computer (50 KB and 78 KB) and I don't understand how to embed them. All I know how to do is copy and paste–and that does not seem to work. I read the instructions that you sent, but I don't understand about codes and things like that ...
