I'm not sure why your image is not showing (for me, anyway) as you seem to be doing everything right. Here it is with exactly the same coding:

Re: Rolled gold locket, hoping to date by patent
So US patents are no good. Apologies for sending you on a wild goose chase. I don't think older British patents can be searched online and I don't know of a correlation between patent number and year of issue.

Hi and welcome to the forum
I believe that you can search for patent numbers here: https://ppubs.uspto.gov/pubwebapp/static/pages/ppubsbasic.html. I can't read the number in your picture but no doubt it looks clearer in "real life". I think you will need to put a 0 (zero) in front of the number to ...

I can confirm that this PK mark is definitely one attributed to Philip Kinnersly by Douglas Bennett in "Collecting Irish Silver".

We really need to see your picture embedded but PK could be Philip KInnersley, working dates 1702-1742.

Re: Set of six knives, seeking maker
Although there is no town mark I am pretty sure that this is a Sheffield mark with the date letter "o" for the assay year 1906/07. The maker's mark has been double-struck, either one mark over a different one or the same mark struck twice because of a poor first strike. I favour the latter and think ...

Not Joseph Adams & Sons who were working in the late 18th century. It also doesn't match the currently documented mark of J Aitkin & Son which doesn't have serifs on the letters. However it may very well be an undocumented Aitkin & Son mark.

Hi and welcome to the forum. That's v for 1895 - easily (and frequently) confused with b for 1876.

I have no idea what this creature is supposed to be (a goat perhaps?) but it definitely is not a London leopard's head erased. I have moved your post from London Hallmarks to European Other Countries in hopes that it might be recognised there.

This is a Sheffield sterling silver hallmark with the date letter q for 1933 and the maker's mark FC for Frank Cobb & Co Ltd of Sheffield. The "W Greenwood & Sons" mark is there as the retailer.

Re: I Thought it Would be Easy??
Hi and welcome to the forum.
The easier marks to identify are the older ones as there are published references for most of the assay offices, although there are still some holes in the identification. For modern marks (which includes a fair chunk of the 20th century) there are no or few references ...

Hi Paul and welcome to the forum.
There should be no confusion between the marks of Brasted (FB in a rectangular punch with cut corners) and Fanny Benjamin (F.B in an oval punch). However the mark on your cane (F.B in a rectangular punch with cut corners) is neither of these so we have to look ...

Not Sheffield, it's a Scottish provincial mark. I think it's probably James Davie of Greenock.
