Tiffany Silver Soldered Object - What the heck is it?
Hi. I know who made it but I don't know what it is. Tiffany Makers, silver soldered. About 5.5" dia x 3.5" tall. The top of the little font or tank is open and threaded on the inside. I'm guessing it had a burner on top? The little arms are for snuffers? https://i.postimg.cc/t7zJqRL6/tiffa...

Re: Help ID mystery mark L&F
Fishless, good call on the lighthouse. The mark is Lagarde & Fortin, Paris, France, circa 1922-28. Thanks for the excellent clue.

Re: Help ID mystery mark L&F
Thanks. The Faro Linea link says it was likely formed in the 70s, the shaker is earlier 20th century, probably 1930s. Interesting observation of the lighthouse, I'll have to do some digging and see if it's a clue . . .

Help ID mystery mark L&F
Trying to decipher the mark on a period silver plated art deco cocktail shaker. It looks like L& F separated by a chess piece(?) symbol. There is no country mark, just what's shown in photo 1. Photo 2 has the contrast tweaked in an attempt to sharpen the image. On a side note, are country of ori...

Wow, thank you so much. I don't have access to the reference material so to say this helps would be quite an understatement.

Re: Small antique repousse box, tiny hard to read markings, ID help
I tried to clean up the smaller mark with a toothpick, it is a square with clipped corners, possibly a bird's head with 835 beneath?

Small antique repousse box, tiny hard to read markings, ID help
Trying to ID maker on an antique sterling box, detailed repousse lid with roses, gold wash interior, tiny marks, one on side of lid, one underneath. Looks possibly like an R? Not sure if it's American, doesn't look like English marks, any help appreciated. https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg http...

Re: Small English Sterling Oval Footed Bowl - Salt Cellar?
Hello Waylander. I missed that crown on the leopard detail because I was reading the date as 1904. That's embarrassing. After looking at the correct date range I'm thinking maybe William Skeen?

Small English Sterling Oval Footed Bowl - Salt Cellar?
It's a small-ish oval form with raised ends, footed, about 4" long, 2 1/4" wide, and 2 1/2" tall at the ends. Is it a salt cellar / master salt? Also, I'm trying to ID the mark -- are marks always oriented in the same direction? I'm assuming it is SM but but it would also be a fine WS...

1767 London Sterling Coffee Pot, can't read the mark
Attached pics are of a 1767 London sterling coffee pot (assuming I'm reading the city & date letter correctly). About 10" tall, ~24 ozt, ebony? handle, engraved lion. I can't quite get a read on the maker's mark. Can anyone read the mark? maybe recognize the distinctive spout? Any help appr...

Any ideas on this Tiffany pin? It has a strange spoon-like form. I'm also curious as to what type of flower it is. Any help appreciated.

Thanks Cheryl. I looked up clover images on Google and I have to agree, it looks like clover. The flower was throwing me off for some reason. I appreciate the education.

Watson Sterling ID help & spoon type?
Hello, Two Questions - my ID on the spoon is Watson Company (pennant logo) and the pattern is "clover". Anyone know if this is really called clover (doesn't really look like a clover to me). Also, what kind of spoon is this, I'm not sure what the cut bowl indicates. It's pretty beefy, 6 3/...

Sterling Lizard Inkwell
I have a sterling lizard inkwell, looks to be about early 20th century (arts & crafts?), the mark looks like a crown, a fleur de lis, and a diamond. The lizard is pretty detailed. Interestingly the underside of the lid under the lizard is formed from a 1919 mercury dime. Any help on ID'ing the m...

Re: Reproduction Circa 1770 Sterling #1738 Mystery
I just purchased the same (similar at least) bowl as salmoned's. It is marked with the Currier & Roby cipher, ENSKO, REPRODUCTION, Sterling 889.
