Unidentified Silverplate Marks Boulton??
Hello. I have a tray that has some marks that resemble Boulton, but I can't be sure. Any help would be so appreciated. https://i.imgur.com/UecJnX2.jpg Looks like similar style to Boulton with a stamp and the sun on each side. It looks like the middle image is a snifter or hurricane lamp. Here is a p...

Help With Mark On A Tray
Anyone? It's so hard to even Google it as it all just comes up as stamps on actual candelabra and not the stamp being a candelabra.

Help With Mark On A Tray
Hello. I've searched everywhere trying to find the maker of this tray. The marks are a C in a shield and what looks to be a candelabra stamp. Is anyone familiar with this maker? Thanks so much.

Thank you, Trev.dognose wrote:Hi,
The marks are correct and as they should be. The item was assayed at London in 1969 and the marks shown are the secondary ones, the full set being applied to main body.
Why would you want to damage the piece by performing an acid test to it?
Trev.

Sterling Mark London Datemark No Assay?
Hello. I've searched the forum and on the internet and can't quite get an answer. I have 2 candelabra extensions that I acquired without their original candle holder. They both have the sterling lion passant mark and the London date mark for 1926, but no makers mark nor assay. I'm curious why the li...

Re: Sheffield Marks? Sun Crossed Keys Griffin Head
Hello Zilverik, there aren't marks anywhere else. This one stumps me. I've searched for hours and hours and scanned every book I have.zilverik wrote:Hi,
Not familiar with any of the marks. Any other marks somewhere? Could this be a set of pseudomarks?
Regards,
Zilverik

Sheffield Marks? Sun Crossed Keys Griffin Head
Hello. I'm having a hard time identifying who might have used all of these marks. The crossed keys look like john Parsons and the sun looks similar to Boulton (but it's only one sun and no face) and there looks like a griffin's head erased. These marks are on a gorgeous pair of candelabra that seem ...

No Mark Anywhere?
Hello. I have a lid to some piece of holloware--I believe--but I've searched every nook and cranny of it and can't find a mark anywhere. I've even looked for hidden marks in the design. Is this normal? I don't have the bottom that should go with this. I imagine it's from the 1800's during the Aesthe...
