Re: Help with id'ing Dutch marks on apostle spoon
Hello TK1 Yes the figure on the bowl resembles a spread eagle, but the eagle of the city mark of Deventer in The Netherlands. I have no doubt about the origin of your spoons. I think they were made in The Netherlands. We never discuss the value of silverware on this forum, nor any buyer-seller issue...

Re: Help with id'ing Dutch marks on apostle spoon
Hello TK1 There was no mark in your picture for the silver contains. I think it is made of silver but no hallmark to confirm it. Maybe there are additional marks on the front side of the stem, like a yearletter, a little sword or perhaps a lion passant to the right? Pseudo mark are fake hallmarks us...

Can anyone help me to identify the silversmith
I bought this mustardpot some years ago. I'm still not able to find the name of the silversmith. x x This is the hallmark set on the inside of the lid. There is a set on the outside of the pot, but the makersmark is rubbed out, but looks like a JHAas well. The first letter could even be a F or a T p...

Re: Help with id'ing Dutch marks on apostle spoon
These all look like pseudo hallmarks. The mark IB or LB is not in the booklet of Citroen but I can´t find a silversmith that used such a hallmark.
The spoon itself looks like a simple casted spoon.
Probably made in the era 1890-1910.

Re: Snuffbox and vesta case
Hello Oel,
Yes the small compartment on the right has a ribbed surface, for lighting the matches on the right side of the box. But the main compartment only has a length of 7 cm which I thought to small to be a cigarette case.

Re: Snuffbox and vesta case
Hello Oel,
I took a look in my files and this box I bought in 2005 from Pasarel. Maybe we are talking about the same box?
My goal is to get more info on the silversmith. This is not a great item but quite lovely to see, and I´m curious

Re: Puifourcat flatware
Yes, two beauftiful knifes in the same patern. The details on the blades is most frequently seen on serving flatware in this patern. I do have two other fishknifes (both part of complete sets) which are different: x The one above is hallmarked for Christoffle and the second one for Emile Puifourcat....

Can anyone help with the identification of this silversmith.
It is certainly French with the Minervahead and the makers hallmark in a losange.

I think this is the best I can do on the hallmark. I see a star on top
P.D.R.
and an unclear figure underneath

Re: cream spoon Swedish?
Hello Fishnfowl
I think the little mark above the AVS is a wooden shoe.
The spoon was made by A van Streun
Who worked in Groningen 1816 - 1830 (the last year is not certainly known)
This would fit very well with the yearletter for 1823

Snuffbox and vesta case
Who can help me with this box. One part is a snuffbox and the rightside is a vesta case. I have bought it several years ago in Israel.
The only hallmarks are the 800.
It is a nice quality box but I have no serious clue were is was made and by whom. Any help is appreciated.

Puifourcat flatware
Can anyone give me more information on this flatware patern. It was made by Emile Puifourcat (E canif du bureau P)
How is it called?
In what period was it made?
I have seen the same pattern made by Christoffle, does anyone have more information on this?
