Re: Ginger couvert

How is it possible that you've recognize the A in the helmet. Okay if you know you will recognize, but for me it was hard time to see. However it is there indeed and with the other information I'm glad as well.

Thank you Peter,

Ginger couvert

Ginger couvert

In Voet gold and silver marks I found the year letter which stands for 1870. Furthermore, I hope that the master mark can be clarified.

Moving my contribution.

My contribution has been moved to another section of the 925-1000 forum and I fully understand this. However, if a contribution is moved, I initially missed the reason and I still miss it. What did the person see that motivated him for his decision to move the fish cutlery. I am of course just curio...

Re: Two Spoons

Thank you Silverfan.

Your information is most helpful. However I wonder if there is some knowledge about the date or date mark, etc!

Re: Art Nouveau silver basket, makers mark?

Hi,

I'm not an expert, but Depose sounds French to me. The shapes are also reminiscent of the French Art Nouveau, although the forms occur in more European countries. So I can of course have it completely wrong. However a nice looking piece. Success with your quest.

Fish Cutlery

Hi All, this is what I should have say in my previous post in this forum as I am new to this German Silver section of the 925-1000 forum. My quest now turns about a fish cutlery, of which it is not clear whether this is silver or silver-plate. It has nice clear characters. So, maybe there is someone...

Couvert Middelburg

By reading this forum I now know that this Couvert comes from Middelburg. The cover has only two markings, 1st the city sign with year letter, 2nd the master mark that I do not know, because I do not have the books. Would like to get help with this. Thank you Euser https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg...

Re: Silver spoon

Knowing the hand of the silversmith seems to me more important than the year letter and you have found it, fantastic. Furthermore, I also saw the article about the Middelburg spoon and I do realize that I also have a piece from Middelburg of which I do not know the maker but I do have a clear mark. ...

Silver spoon

I am new to this forum, so I say hello to everyone.

Here I have a spoon who I'm puzzled. The spoon comes from Amsterdam I think and has several silver marks. Please help by determining these marks.
Thanks Euser.
