Hello helpers,
Still looking for maker on this big candy dish with the cute beauty in the middle.

Thanks,
Evil

Re: Beautiful Mexican Sterling Picture Frame
Sure..
Unfortunately not MATL though it has similarities.
Maker is unknown. CEL, pg 217 of Little Book.
It goes on and says it has a Taxco stamp of me-02. Wh8ch is on this stamp.
Me-02 is unidentified but listed in the book.
Love it.. good luck,
Evil

Re: Help Identifying Mexican Hallmark
Hey Turtle. This took some imagination. First you take the whole of Mexico including the o into the circle. That leaves something like a conjoined JS. This leaves an unknown maker but identified in Little Book. States is JS script, inside a circle. Taxco Sterling. Eagle 1,3, ts-22. Looks to me most ...

Hi, I love solid silver pieces with old marks. Everyone is right. Player is typically would just be the company name who employs artists to make pieces for them. It has a remarkable maker mark in center. It is listed with the same exact marks and Maker in Little Book. Pg 139-140 with maker MR. Typic...

Re: Navajo Turquoise Bracelet
Plz post pics. Just as typical, Mexico pieces hqve their own stamp rules. I've never personally seen a Mexico piece wi5h Navajo added. Yes, Navajo in Mexico as lived there. I could, be entirely wrong. Pics. If it has Mexico stamp ite considered m3xican not Navajo. Place then to look is under Mexican...

Re: Help with Hallmark. LANE, ZANE UMS? Wine Cistern
I like the responses. My opinion. Jose Marmolejo and Tane was specific to eagle 1. This reads to me as eagle 32. It seems they didn't stamp it straight and the T didn't show up well. My 2 cents is obvious Tane, eagle 32, UMS would be an unknown maker. Tane used many artists. Beautiful piece. (admin ...

Re: Bracelet signed J.P
Hi.. would love to know if what you figured out? J.P. is listed as a valid silver Smith in Little Book pg 209 with Silver Mexico as addition to their stamp. Silver Mexico is usually stamped 9n items pre eagle. There is no specific on artist j.p. . Interestingly, Jean Puiforcat used these initials an...

Re: Help identifying silversmith of a dozen Mexican silver goblets (mark RL)
Hello,
You were given correct information. JLR conjoined is Juvento Lopes Reyes. Great example of his great work.. very clean items. Pg 222 of Little Book. His work is highly collectable. I do have a pitcher made via JLR with conjoined letters.
Good luck,
Evil

Re: Help to identify the usuage for this bowl
Hello, Plata Artistica is a registered silver Smith company. It is listed in the Little Book on page 238 without follow up details. There are no specific artists assigned with the group. It is a very nice detailed bowl. I wouldn't use it for every day use but display. Hope this helps somehow. (admin...

Re: Unidentified possible russian maker and unknown assay
I wish to add.. the crylic is Zhe. The maker does not show up with leopards head in russian. Crylic is also used in macedonia and bulgaria. So the maker could be from that area. It appears old as the silver girl figurine was black in many places and too a week to clean properly. It was purchased in ...

Unidentified possible russian maker and unknown assay
Hello, Ive been buying silver for a long time. I can not find the maker. City or assay to this beautiful platter. The best i can come up with is russian crylic maker mark, inside a leopards head outline. Then the assay of 900 with an unidentified assay. I have the object stored but i have a link to...
