Is this likely Scottish gold (2)
Hello, I recently purchased this bracelet with a similar pendant. It appears unmarked but (acid) tests as 10k gold. From the photos presented is it possible someone could lend some thoughts on where this was made and what era? (I am again guessing Scotland because of the agates but I certainly lack ...

Is it likely this is Scottish gold?
Hello, I recently picked this up with a similar bracelet. It tests at 10k gold but lacks hallmarks. From looking around it seems the stones are Scottish agates and perhaps there may have been a time when the Scots were none to keen on marking some of there precious metals? I was also wondering if pe...

Help with a sterling ring makers mark
Hello, I was hoping someone could help me identify the maker of this ring. Also I wanted to find out what kind of stone it is and if its "normal" to facet the back of the stone as is done here. Any thoughts or information would be appreciated! Cheers, K https://i.imgur.com/uIzDImLl.jpg htt...

Help with a makers mark ID
Hello, We have what appears to me as an eagle a "D" and a star on a sugar shovel(?). I have looked and have not found a match to this makers mark so far (of course I could have missed it!) Found in the northeast coast US. If anyone can help identify this or point me in the right direction ...

Re: Mug with the makers mark EM
Thanks for the reply!
Would having the full "M" allow to distinguish which of those makers it was? or are the makers marks between those two makers that similar?
Thank you for taking the time to help.

Re: Bug pin marked Secret(t?) 14k
Thanks for the replies! I found a jeweler based out of Toronto established in 1957 called "Secrett of Toronto". It appears to be a smaller jeweler but was originally relatively high end. Would it be unreasonable thought that a smaller firm would make something like this? As always, thanks ...

Mug with the makers mark EM
Hello, I was hoping to find some more information about the maker of this mug. Looking around this site I thought the closest makers mark would be Elizabeth Morley given the skinny left leg of the "M". If anyone can confirm or add info on the maker and date it would be much appreciated. ht...

Re: ID Bracelet Marked "Sterling Tiffany & CO"
Thank you both so much for taking the time to answer!
The links are soldered but they are definitely far from perfect joints.
Looks like "Unlikely to no" is my answer.
Thanks again!

ID Bracelet Marked "Sterling Tiffany & CO"
Hello, I was hoping someone could lend me their thoughts on this bracelet. It tests for silver both chain and plaque and seems like solid construction. Are there aspects of this bracelet that would make you question its authenticity? I was curious if the "sterling" stamp being more promine...

Cameo Pendant Marked "DAJ 10K" Help?
Hello, I was wondering if anyone recognized this makers mark (or can lend their thoughts on if it is a "DAJ")? I realize the photos could be better but save for removing the piece and flattening it I am not sure what to do. https://i.imgur.com/8Uy8nnbm.jpg https://i.imgur.com/a5BKAt7m.jpg ...

Thanks Trev, I will start looking at resources for Spanish marks. Included below are some more picture but I fear I will have to find a better way to take pictures as these really aren't much better at all. https://i.imgur.com/VBJuKOPl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/vAhgm32l.jpg https://i.imgur.com/nrw32l8...

Marks on a gold tie bar and matching cuff links
Hello, I am trying to figure out the marks on these pieces. It appears the mark is a "434" with a "B" under it in one mark and then possibly a head facing left in one mark but I can't tell. Can anyone shed some light on these in regards to what the marks mean? I was told by a jew...

Thank you for your thoughts and information. I am certain they are weighted and was just intrigued they weren't marked.
Thanks again.

A Question on when an item in the U.S. must be marked "weighted"
Hello, I have a question that has arisen after I found a set of candlesticks. Context The candlesticks are the work of Victor Siedman MFG Co. of Brooklyn NY. This site states they were in operation from roughly the 1920's-1930s ( https://www.925-1000.com/americansilver_S3.html ) My question is, is i...

Hello and thanks for taking your time to write this answer! When I looked up the marks for Bruckmann it showed I had already looked at that reference page when I was trying to research this. I got the impression from the "P" in crown that it looked like it had at least been double stamped ...

Is it likely this is unmarked Georg Jensen or just a copy?
Hello, I purchased this brooch and when I looked around online I found what seems to be this exact brooch by Georg Jensen. Of course the issue is it is only marked "sterling" and it seems the brooch by him I found was always marked with his mark. Can anyone tell me if he ever left his piec...
