Thanks wev and traintime for the additional information identifying Carleton and Newcomb as the manufacturers. Its seems a little odd to me that a family in Boston would have bought silver from a silversmith in Haverhill, but maybe they followed Newcomb when he relocated there, or maybe it was sold ...
