Re: need help with this taxco hallmark
Did you ever get an answer on this?? Can you post a photo of the hallmark?? Without seeing a picture of the mark, your drawing looks like maybe Francisco Rivera. Google it and see if it matches. These look very cool, by the way.

The Mexican governemnt stared issueing "eagle number" around 1948 to be placed on all sterling being produced. It was established as a mark to denote taxes paid, and that the item was at least 925 silver. #17 was assigned to Antonio Pineda

Please help identify hallmarks on spoon
This is a lovely serving spoon that I found at an estate sale last week. I have listed under German, because there were tons of items from Germany at this estate, but I am only guessing about the origins. Anyway, can anyone help to identify the hallmarks on the spoon?? It is 8&1/4 inch long and the ...

Help with id on hallmarks
Sorry in advance if I put this in the wrong category, but I have no idea where to put it!
This was in a box of miscellaneous items I won at auction a few years ago, and I have always wandered about it. It is a large pendant(4&1/2 in), with what I think has tiger or some other animal teeth? or maybe ...

Thanks Tom, Thank you for taking the time to look at my piece and calling a fellow collector about it. Did the necklace you previously owned have a hook closure also? what about your collector friend's??
Even though I had questions concerning possible alterations, I still bought it because I felt ...

Thank you Tom and JLDoggett for your replies. Here are more photos as promised. The links are strung on a thin braided metal string, and it has a hook closure, not a box clasp. Looks like the amethsyt are held in place with a bar. Thanks again.
