What are your thoughts on this piece?

Measurements" 10 inches Long 5.5 Inches Tall

It looks Chinese to me! I notice that theres birds all around the silver box. It looks like phoenixes, giving me the assumption that it might be Chinese.

Theres a hallmark "SILVER" and also there is obviously another engraving that looks unprofessionally done, which makes me think its not by the maker. " AMIT WEDS MAYURI"
