I'm not sure this is a Latin (or Roman) alphabet. Then perhaps it would be TA ? I've tried some of the Cyrillic styles, but I'm not that familiar with them. Since this was made in Vienna (Wien) I've looked over a map and tried researching alphabets of neighboring countries, such as Hungary. I'm sorry, but I've found nothing I could state with confidence. Anybody else?
Hi. Thank you for desire to help. I think that it's not A - there is no horizontal line.
Maybe it's Cyrillic, used in Russia until 1918? Letter "И" had two option writing: И and I.
El.
That may be so but I am inclined to think that the script is Latin and possibly in "Frackschrift", the Gothic type alphabet in common use throughout Germany until WWII.
