walking cane unknown maker

Post by benhurt1 »

Hi all. I'm looking for assistance identifying this item. Makers mark looks like J•B or J•E with the number 2 beside. I can't make out the other marks but one looks like a fish or knights helmet? https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5m8N ... 29VbVdxNUk

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Not Ireland, but London.

Trev. Would I be correct in assuming the cane was made between 1903 and 1919, due to the illegible date stamp? Thanks.

From what's left visible of the Lion Passant, it appears to be that of the 1896-1915 date cycle.
