Sterling compact Hallmarked-Maker C&J??

Hi Everyone & Trev,
This silver compact is fully hallmarked and made in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1921 if my research in your British Hallmarks is correct.
But cannot find who was the maker!!! The maker's mark looks like
C & J (C & -are clearlly stamped) but unsure of the last letter.



I hope the pictures are clear enough to unravel this compact Mystery.

Your mark image is very small, but it appears to be Birmingham, 1939. Maker would be Crisford & Norris.
