Greyhound on a Belgium fork - Bristish family ?

Hi,

Here is a crest engraved on a silver fork from Brussels (Belgium), produced at the beginning of the 18th c.




It appears to me that this crest could be the one of a British family (despite I am not a specialist in Anglo-saxon).
It does not look like a Belgian, a French or a German heraldy sign.

Do you have some comments, that could lead to an identification ?

The greyhound is the most popular type of dog that was used on coats of arms. It stands for courage, vigilance, and loyal fidelity. Many royals and nobles incorporated the greyhound into their coats of arms in England and France. It is used on the crests of more than 400 French families alone. It`s also seen in e.g. Italian and Polish coats of arms.
Without a particular motto and other features, there is no way to determine the family.
