Hello! I've searched and searched and I can't find anything about this small bird figurine marked with a star and STERLING. I thought there was a very tiny signature on the underside of the wing but now I'm wondering if it's something else. It also has an odd very smooth texture, like it was coated with something, perhaps to keep the lovely patina? I'm simply guessing at things now. Bird is 3.5" x 3" approx. and came from a very high end estate sale. TIA!
