Here is a 13.5cm silver bodkin with no marks. I'd very much like to know how old it is.
I think there is some writing on the lower half, but it's so worn I may never be able to decipher it.

Checked my books, but could not find much. These were being made as far back as the 17th century.
Did find a bodkin case in my books. Made by Samuel Pemberton, Birmingham, c.1800.
Found a few on line where the case was marked but the bodkin was not. These sites dated these sets as c.1800. Don't know if that's correct.
