Hi,
FIrst time poster here. I have this cantle plate used for a saddle and want to find out about the hallmark/makers mark on the back. Below are the links to the pictures. Please feel free to tell me even a piece of the puzzle! Thanks, Claude

The words around the triangle originally read "Plata de Jalisco".
There was also 925 inside the triangle indicating a fineness of .925.
GUAD stands for the city of Guadalajara which is located in the State of Jalisco, Mexico.
The mark with the 50 in it is a newer style of Eagle mark (ca. 1955-1980).
Don't know who used the JFCM maker's mark.
Pat.
