JFT in a crossed Pickaxe and Shovel

When I first glanced at it I thought it was a Joseph Mayer and Bros. souvenir spoon but after further inspection the letters were different.

I did find that Joseph Mayer and Bros. were eventually taken over by E.J. Towle Mfg. Co. but the mark for E. J. Towle Mfg. Co has the E to the right T in the middle and J on the left of the crossed pickaxe and shovel.

The marking on this spoon shows a J on the right F or E in the middle and a T on the right.










Any ideas of who this might be or if it is a variation mark for E.J. Towle Mfg. Co.

Was also confused by this mark then found an entry in silverflatewarefashions.com for E.J. Towle Mfs. Co. Note the two marks have different positions for the same letter. T over E and J then E over J and T.
