Necklace - 925 MW* (star) Hallmark

Hello,

Recently I discovered a box full of things I found in Charity shops when I was 15/16 years old.

I had completely forgotten about this necklace until now and while cleaning it up I noticed the '925' marks along with another hallmark which I have not been able to find anywhere on this website/blog or the internet.
I do not know anything about the necklace or even if it's a real diamond or not.

If anyone has any knowledge or ideas as to what the MW* also shown as MWstar it would be lovely to know.

I have included photographs of the whole necklace followed by closer shots of the markings.

Hi Trev,

Thank you for the response - I did look into this forum and couldn't find a marking similar. They do show the 'star' however there is no marking that showed 'MW' (that I could find).

Could it possible be Spanish instead of Italian?
