Lovely sterling silver bowl that was a gift for a rabbi in 1968. Anyone recognize the mark? The rabbi seems to have gotten around so not a lot of clues there:
Prior to serving as rabbi at Hazleton, Pa., Bogage was a rabbinical coordinator and media specialist with the Jewish Media Relations Council in Tarpon Springs, Fla.; rabbi at Temple Shalom of Charlotte County, Port Charlotte, Fla.; rabbi for the Houston Congregation for Reform Judaism, Houston; regional rabbi for the Union of American Hebrew Congregations in Philadelphia and Miami; rabbi for Temple Micah, Denver; and associate rabbi for the Central Synagogue of New York City.

Currier & Roby. Take a look at the trademark listing on this site: https://www.925-1000.com/americansilver_C3.html

That is interesting. I was told that it was the hallmark of William Ruser, the Los Angeles jeweler and silversmith but was not absolutely sure. Thank you, glad I checked.

Interesting that they were out of business for twenty five years before this bowl was engraved. But stuff happens. I have looked for similar Ruser marks and can't find them so I think that date notwithstanding you are probably correct.
