Help with ID on ring with wolf/coyote head hallmark
Hi, I'm brand new to the site and in need of some help!
The mens ring below is sterling silver, with a wolf or coyote head hallmark on the inside of the band, and one white, two blue stones inset between a leaf design.

Even with all the research I've done, I can't find anything on it! Any ideas? Thanks! :)

Hi, I found your query while I was looking for info on what looks like the exact same hallmark, but my ring is completely different style which seems unusual.

As you can see it's pretty much identical to your mark.
I've sent a query to someone who has a website listing lots of native silver hallmarks to see if they can help.

I'll let you know if I hear anything!
Best
Tom

It is a old southwestern shop hallmark. Mass produced using native and anglo workers. Can be found now in amerindian.com shop hallmarks. So glad because i have had many and no idea what it was.

Yea! I have this exact mark in a sterling inlaid coral rind & was sure it was a wolf or dog-type head, but still couldn't find it. Thank you!!

Hmm...Awesome site! Helped find my EH mark is Elgin Hoskey.
But, I couldn't find the coyote head anywhere. It definitely wasn't in the shops section. or the pictorial marks. Does someone know what it's listed under?

tab73, you probably figured out that because it's from a "shop," it's being different makes sense.

By different, I meant that mine looked hand drawn, maybe with a signature in it. I submitted it to the wonderful person who runs that site & they didn't recognize it as a shop & thought it was probably Navajo. I've sent them a few marks on jewelry I couldn't figure out & they've been incredibly helpful! Best Native American & SW "Indian" shop identifier site ever!!
