It is French, no doubt. Mark on the right is French export mark.

The mark on the left in lozenge is maker`s mark; cannot identify it because the first letter is not clear, the second letter is B with the star bellow (the symbol is always helpful with French maker`s marks).
Try to identify it.

French export silver hallmark, used 1879-2000. The silver export mark used geometric frame shape with the core image of the Mercury head. Barrel shaped standardmark # 2, mark origin probably Paris for silver fineness 800/000.

i wasn't sure about Mercure sign but now its clear to me
the lozegne mark i couldnt get better on photo because damage but i can look now further for it's possible makers' mark
i'm still a trainee in this, i do verification for customs and try to specialize into these matters
i hope to help out others on this forum

To clarify the dates of use for this particular Mercury head export mark for 800 standard silver: 1 July 1879 - 8 August 1973.

The French Mercury head export hallmark for silver was used from 1879-2000. Seen in hexagon frame shape for silver 1st standard. Seen in barrel shaped frame shape for silver .800 And seen in small sized oval for limited Warranty silver .800 minimum.
In 1973 Décretn°73-805 du 8 août 1973, France reduced the 1st standard silver fineness of 950 to the internationally recognized fineness for sterling, 925. This allowed France to compete equally on the global market for sterling silver. In 1973, the export hallmark for silver .950, being the Mercury head, in a irregular hexagonal frame shape with the number 1 (indicating the first standard of fineness .950), placed under the Mercury head’s chin, was deleted. The new export mark for silver .925 a Mercury head in an irregular hexagon frame shape, while the figure 1 (indicating the first standard of fineness .925) is now placed at the back of the mercury’s neck. This mark differs also from the previous one in that it bears a block letter indicating the decade of within which the item was assayed and hallmarked. (A for 1973-1982). The Decree 2000-745( in the year 2000) cancelled the use of the export Mercury head.
