Wallace Puritan - Pattern Variance

Hello,
I have two sterling pieces from Wallace that I believe are in the Puritan pattern, but one of them has a slight difference. The salad fork pictured looks just like the Puritan piece should, but the small spoon (5-5/8", 5 o'clock?) has a small addition on the reverse side tip. Also, the maker's marks are slightly different -- there is a "T" inside a circle preceding the mark on the spoon, as well as a different shape around the mark. Could the spoon be a later, or possibly earlier version of the pattern? I could not find any other pattern like this one for Wallace.

The "T" should be a letter code for weight like "Trade". Cheryl covers it here (but there are many other threads): viewtopic.php?f=35&t=15815&p=35711&hili ... 346#p35711

Would the fact that it is a trade piece be why the underside has that added part on the underside tip of the handle?

That is strange because you would expect that design element to be present on both pieces. :::: Why would the spoon have what the fork lacks? ::
