Sterling Crown w/letter

I pick this up the other day, however I am having a difficult time getting any information on it....I am guessing it's an english mark but I am not sure of the maker or the reference to the #605 so any help would be appreciated.

This is the image of your mark embedded.
It is not British but American:Wm.B.Durgin Co.

Although absorbed by Gorham, the D mark in script was used until 1930.

There are so many makers out there so this history of early Gorham is a very interesting element for me to learn, I was a little surprised to see no .925 or other such designation but perhaps this was more common than I am aware of....
