Squirrel Hallmark - Swiss? Enameling type?

I have what I believe to be a Swiss hallmark on a spoon with an interestingly unique enameling(?) of a rose on the finial. I don't know what type of enameling it is but it seems to be quite different from other enameled spoons in that there is a silver outline of the flower and then the colored enamel is set into the design. you can feel that the "metal" outline is higher than the enamel.
First I was wondering if anyone can idendify the hallmark and hopefully date it, and secondly could anyone identify the type of enameling (cloisonne, guilloche etc)
I found only one reference to a squirrel hallmark here (http://poincon.blogspot.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) where they say: "The old official hallmarks are:" " ............Squirrel/ écureuil (585Au)" I do not know what that means, nor do I see a date reference.
The squirrel mark is within an oval shape and there is no other mark on the spoon that I can see to indicate a maker. Neither is their any writing on the front or back of the spoon like a souvenir spoon would usually have.



Any suggestions?

Not sure about this. Possibly the registered US trademark used by S.J. Levy & Company, Birmingham, England, on silverplate.
Don't know much about them. In business at least from 1901-1934.
