Hi, I have a pocket watch with hallmarks I cannot identify. They appear to be lions but do not match my hallmarks book or an online search. The curved edges to hallmark are throwing me out. I assume that being lions it is English, but...
The movement is marked "Sans Pareil II" (roman 2)
Hoping to get a year, thanks

Re: Identification Help
Hi and welcome to the forum.
These are bears, not lions, and the marks are Swiss indicating at least .875 silver. The fuzzy mark at the top reads, I suspect, 0.935 for the actual silver content. This would allow the watch cases to be exported to countries where sterling (.925) was the accepted standard.

Thanks very much Phil.
I had no idea where to start, not having a lot of experience.
Just reading up about 3 bears!
