Hello,
Does anyone know this maker? It appears to be a CC with an acorn in the middle. Above it might be "S te"? There are also some Russian marks on it curiously... it's a gold ring.
French maker mark help please
Re: French maker mark help please
According to the general look of the marks, I would be surprised if this was actually a French product.
I may be wrong, but on the third mark (from left to right), the symbol looks like a hammer and sickle in a star : could have it be produced in a former communist country between 1917 and 90ies, like former Czechoslovakia or former Yougoslavia ?
Another clue is the silver purity used for this item, which seems 750/1000 according to the same third mark.
Hope it helps.

::::: You mean "gold" not "silver" I assume this is a gold ring 750/1000 18k gold? ::::: I wonder what that fourth hallmark is, that hallmark is interesting, is it the head of Zeus surrounded by lightning bolts? That hallmark looks kind of "official" to my eyes (like a state-controlled mark of some sort) but I have never seen it before. ::::
Re: French maker mark help please
::: Is that fourth hallmark on the right the "rooster" hallmark of Czechoslovakia? ::::
:::: Was the piece made in Czechoslovakia and imported into Russia? Or vice-versa? ::::::::

Yes, the piece is definitely 750 18k gold.
The mark on the right is the French eagle head facing right (to confirm the above).

:::: Do you think there is a "5th hallmark" (fifth hallmark) in the center of this circle which enlarges the area? ::::: Possibly lightly struck? :::::::
Re: French maker mark help please
:::: It seems like the hallmark for 14K might have been accidentally lightly struck? ::: I think I see a number 9 on your ring written horizontally and it looks kind of like this hallmark might have been accidentally lightly struck? :::::

The mark to the right is without any doubt the French eagle hallmark for 18 carat gold.
The oval mark to the left is the French import mark. It's not clear enough to find in my books, it seems to read Sté C O or Sté C C with what looks like an open hand in the centre. Sté is the abbreviation for Societé which means company, it is quite common on hallmarks.
The ring was thus made in an Eastern bloc country before being imported into France.
A clearer photo of the hallmarks, taken with a loupe held against a mobile phone, will be needed to get a final identification of the mark.
