British Silverware Markings

Post by Stardus7 »

Hello everyone!

I recently came across some silver pieces but I can't identify the markings.

The first one is a teapot (or was used as one) and the markings that are at the bottom are faded due to fire burning under. It also has it's original owner's initials engraved on it.

They were all bought from antique shops in England all around Cambridge.

Thank you in advance! Any clue is highly valued.

Hello stardus7, the manufacturer's marks on this teapot are very badly rubbed and the gothic style lettering is hard to sort anyway. Looks like a crown and then "D &" followed by 2 other letters. If enough forum members look at you image, someone may recognize the marks but it may take a while.
