Fauna, Flora & Metaphors
Until 30th April 2025
Cagnes-sur-Mer is presenting the Fauna, Flora & Metaphors exhibition as part of the town's collection.
Nature is a rich source of inspiration for artists. Contemporary jewelry, like other art forms, also reflects the importance of this influence through figurative or symbolic creations evoking animals and natural elements.
It is through this theme that the Contemporary Jewelry Museum invites the public to explore or rediscover the municipal collection, which boasts nearly 300 pieces.
The selection highlights works depicting fauna, flora, and even natural landscapes , which have been carefully studied beforehand. Some designers have chosen to remain faithful to nature, accurately reproducing the shapes, textures, and details of the original models.
Others have preferred to break free from conventions to create minimalist jewelry or explore more imaginative avenues. By reinterpreting natural forms, they have created hybrid organisms and structures thanks to the perfect technical mastery of their art. They thus make it possible to unite reality and imagination.
Opening hours: 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Admission: Free
