Sterling Bowl or Mould with Patent # and odd mark

Hello!

I have a 10" bowl that I am wondering about. It is shaped something like a mould, with indentations in the bottom. The marks are as shown, only "sterling", "patented 3855 10i" and a little pictorial mark.

I'll also include a photo of the motif used on the front on the reticulated rim.

Any info would be most appreciated.

Can't see the mark well enough to be sure.
