Helllo,
The inscription is Polish for "As a Bapitismal Souvenir".
The 84 I assume means that it was made in the Russian partition of Poland before 1918.
QUESTIONS:
1. Does the SR before the 84 refer to the work shop or silversmith or is it just an abbreviation for the Polish word for silver "srebro".
2. On the front and below, there is a stylized monogram: KJ or JK. Can anyone tell me if this is the signature of the silversmith and/or who it might be?
Thanks.
S
