Taxco Sterling & Amethyst set - I.D. HELP request

Post by Bardist »

Hi:
I am new to the boards and hoping I might get some help to Identify the artist and an approximate age for a vintage Taxco Sterling & Amethys set I have. I hope the photos are clear enough for viewing. Any information is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I can clearly see "HECHO EN MEXICO" around "FARFAN" in the center. FarFan was a well-known silver manufacturer in Mexico City during Wm. Spratling's lifetime. I'm not sure if they are still in business.

Hi and thank you for your reply and information. I was also recently told that these pieces probably date back to the 1930's or 40's. Apparently the FCS is eagle 195.
