Mexican Sterling Bracelet Mark Eagle Stamp - ID?

Post by suesilver »

I know I have seen this mark somewhere but there is no name to search by. I have gone thru visual resources and can't find it. Also, what do you call this type of treatment- it's not damascene I don't think... I think the stamp is Plata 925, Sterling Guad Jal Mex (Location?)

Thanks for any help.

Maybe Niello work?
Plata means silver, the location is Guadalajara (city), Jalisco (state), Mexico.
Eagle 19 has 7 names associated with it, none of which seem to use that symbol that looks like a Mayan pyramid. I've seen that mark on Mex pieces before but don't remember if it had an artisan to go with it.

Thanks - Niello is probably right - just couldn't get that word out of my head!
