Help with mark on coin silver eagle pin

Post by cirrus »

I couldn't find this mark in my research. It looks like a "AlC" or it could be "ATC" with the top of the T missing? I'd appreciate any ID help you can give me.

Hi Stewart,

Welcome to the Forum.

Thanks for your imput. ALC, as far as I'm aware, is usually noted within a triangle and, as you have noted, used with a higher grade of silver.

I'll move it to the Mexican Forum, maybe it will get a bite there.

Regards Trev.

It could be Peruvian since there are no Mex marks and they often use 900 silver there. I feel like I have seen that mark on Peruvian pieces before.
