5 point Crown over shield mark on silver bowl Help please

Post by zongo »

Hello.
I am a new member so I hope I am posting in the right place. I read all the advices etc. I have recentley developed an interest in old metalware. I have a set of two bowls which appear very old. I have looked at most of the hallmarks on the site I think? But, I could not find anything like this. (unless I can't see the forest through the trees?)
I would appreciate if someone can help in advising me of the origin & age of these please? Pictures listed below. Fingers x that this works.

The marks are pretty worn and hard to photograph.

Hope someone may be able assist.
Thank you.

Hello Patrick.

Thank you very very much for the reply and answer. I really appreciate the effort of the forum. I am learning alot so that is good. A mystery mark. Maybe if I ever find out that will be good. But if not, it does not matter as I am learning.

Thanks again to you and all the people that gave some thought. I shall keep collecting and learning. :)
