I.F.S. ltd from England ???

I have a lovely little cigarette box in silverplate - with the markings of "I.F.S. ltd." and "Made in England" along with the symbol of a hand holding a hammer. Was wondering what company this is.

Looking at the shape but not having seen the inside of the canister to see if fitted for cigarettes I might be wrong but could your item be a tea caddy rather than a cig box?

Mike - the box could possibly be a tea caddy - but I'm going by the box's owner who tells me this sat on her mother's cocktail table for as long as she could remember - and it was always full of cigarettes.
