I have a teapot, creamer and sugar that I believe is silverplate. I have been unable to identify the mark after searching for the past 6 months. It is a windmill inside of a diamond and it has a J to the left of the diamond and an F to the right. The numbers 5238 are below. I am trying to identify maker and date. Any help would be appreciated. I have already posted to the no pics site because I was unfamiliar with loading pics so I hope I do not get deleted from this picture site. I am going to try to load two pictures now, one of the mark and one of the creamer. I hope this works. Thanks again.
Believe this is a variation of a mark from silverplate manufacturer Friedman Silver Co. of Brooklyn, NY. The mark is usually seen with a crown rather than a windmill. They produced a lot of Dutch Revival pieces. Started in 1908, purchased by Gorham in 1960. Would guess your pieces date to around the 1920s.
