Received this brooch early 70's along with pendant in other post and also 4 other pieces were given to other family members. This one is of a raven I believe, and I came to choosing this bird as to others in Haida symbols based on comparing beaks, head top (ears?) , claw position and symbols on wings. I was told at the time of receiving these two items that they were Haida art.
The piece is 4.8cm tall, 5.5cm wide, 0.8cm deep at deepest point (beak end).
Thank you in advance if anyone can provide me clues. I'm hoping to locate were my father went that day and who the artists are.
