unknown marks on old fork

hello forum
i ran into this unusual fork with mother of pearl handle.
what was it used for and maybe anyone knows the maker and the possible year it was made.

Hello. That's a silverplate mark used by W.S. Savage & Company, Sheffield, England (1876 -1929).
After 1900 they produced silverplated items for the trade and did not put their marks on these pieces. So, your fork would date to between 1876 and 1900.
