Sterling silver pins with H> as the hallmark

I have two narrow pins with a sterling base and then a white face with flowers painted on them. The hallmark is an H and something like a "greater than" symbol but the symbol actually underlines the H. It is very tiny are almost impossible to photograph. I estimate the pins are from the early 1900's and probably from New England. If anyone can help please reply. Thank you.
