This piece has all sorts of markings - I just can't seem to find the identity. It looks like "EI" "T D & S" and then a bugle or horn? Also, above is a 1 and a
line and a 2 under the line. I noted the small "S" in front of the numbers "21603" and also what looks like a "C" on the far right.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Hello.
Agree that the mark was used by James Dixon & Sons.
They started using the trumpet trademark in 1879.
The trumpet started appearing in a shield cartouche around 1890.
