Hi there! I just found it, great site, it's a wealth of information. I'm wondering if anyone can help me with the trademark on my silver teapot. First there are the seperate initials, both in a square box I, and then S, followed by 'Old English Reproduction' and then '1051' and then in very small letters under that '42' This could be sterling for all I know.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers

Sounds like the International Silver Company. Check here:

If it's not marked sterling or .925 then it's silverplated.

I have the "Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufactures" of Dorothy Rainwater 5th edition, but It seems that "old english reproduction isn't in International Silver Company brand...

Stamping it "Old English Reproduction" was not marking it with a brand or trademark, it was simply a marketing maneuver. The "IS" mark is the tip-off to International as the maker.
