I would like to know the maker of this spoon. It is marked with the head for Italian 800 silver. The other mark is what looks like a crossed spoon, knife and fork between the letters A R. Does anyone have an idea of what this means?

For me looks like French silver not Italian but cannot trace the maker.

Thanks Jok, much clearer. It is certainly the Italian hallmark for .800 silver used after 1872 and until the fascist era. Hopefully an identification of the maker's mark will nail down where it was made and narrow down the timeframe some.

Anatolio Henin of Milan, working from 1866, when he assumed the workshop of Luigi Henin. As the device in the mark suggests, Henin was a large manufacturer of flatware. Unfortunately, it doesn't help narrow the date any; A. Henin existed well into the 20th century, working throughout the Monarchy and into the Fascist period. (They were assigned registry number 42 MI in 1935.) Still, I think your spoon probably dates from the 19th rather than the 20th century. Hope this helps!
