Norwegian weding spoons?

I have two spoons from Norway that I assume were part of a wedding tradition of some sort, as there are the initials of two people and a date (1888) engraved on the backs. These spoons are quite petite measuring 14 cm long and about 2 cm wide at the spoon bowl. I was wondering what kind of spoons they were when I realized all my spoons are about this size. I just assumed the others were small because they were baby spoons. However, now I'm wondering if this is just a normal spoon size for that period.
As for the maker, there are the initials K.R. stamped on both spoons, but one spoon has the initials C.G. stamped on it twice as well, overlapping the K.R.
I'm curious about the maker as well as what these spoons have to do with a wedding.
