Belgian Ladle---Mark Info Required

Hi,

Can anyone help with information on this Belgian ladle? It is 15" (38cm) in length and weighs just over six oz. (200gm).

I understand the two-faced head as the second standard 800/1000 and the large guarantee mark, but it is the third mark, which I presume is the makers mark, that I need assistance with.
Any help with the maker and dating of this ladle would be appreciated.

Trev.

Huben Mechelen… ????
As you can see you don’t have missed anything all these years

But now continue searching, with just these two words ........

Look at the the picture the same letter H

silversmith letter H
for HUBEN HENDRIK
is a silversmith who was active in Mechelen
from 1847 until 1868.

Best regards

Hi Dendriet,

That's brilliant, and so unexpected. In the years since 2008 I had never found an answer, so this finally solves a long-standing mystery.

Many thanks.
