Hello,

I would need help to identify this fruit basket.
I have no idea where it comes from and how old it is.
Can't read the marks clearly, one looks like a makers mark,
the other (first one from the left) could be a double headed eagel (?)
The name is unclear to me as well, i read something like: ?NRAETZ ...

Hopefully someone has an idea, maybe the style of the piece helps ?!
It's 274 gram, size is about 24 cm in diameter, it has 3 small legs and is about 6,5 cm high.

thank you
best wishes

Hello,

I have an update: I'm pretty sure it says "CONRAETZ",
which would be Vienna I guess ?
Anybody any idea about this company, the maker and the time the piece was made ?

thank you
best

Plated fruit basket - Maker actually unknown

Hello

I guess: Body of fruit basket is die-casted or pierced by punch in a second step of production process.

Maker's mark: Eagle mark is top down; C&D or E&D (in Gothic type capitals); long one punch need imagination and research - is echo-punched = illegible.

There is neither «hallmark» or other indication for silver alloy.

Result: Maybe silver plated? Never silver alloy!
