Hi. I have what I believe to be a sterling tea set produced in Mexico. I have pictures of the hallmark, but I cannot identify it. Any information you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

The picture I chose is one of a small bowl that came with the set. I don't know what this bowl is used for (sugar cubes???), but this is definitely a tea set (tea pots, etc., included) I apologize for the color of the bowl; it didn't come out true (probably because of the red tablecloth...when will I learn.)

I looked at the hallmarks listed on the site and found nothing. I am surmising that this set is post-1950 from the information I already found elsewhere on this site, but I'm not sure.

We won't be able to help, the image you are using does not have a maker's mark. It only shows the eagle 1 of Mexico City, Sterling 925, and Hecho en Mexico (made in mexico). The maker's mark is probably the obliterated word below all of this.

I checked all of the other pieces in the set, and they all only had a partial last line that was unintelligible. Does this mean there is no hope for identifying this set? Can it be narrowed down even a little with the information I do have?
