Help with marks on sterling and agate(?) dragonfly brooch

Post by daisydog »

Hi,
I'm posting this under Mexican because I can see the word "Hecho" but there are no other marks to indicate that it is from Mexico. It is a beautiful 3-dimensional dragonfly with what looks like agate on the top wing. The bottom wing has a lacy dragonfly wing pattern. It has a loop to wear as a pendant. I have looked at every internet site and in all my books, but cannot find this mark. Hope someone can help.

After staring at this for quite awhile, I see that underneath "Hecho" is "a mano". Which would translate to "Hand Made." Now if I could just figure out who made it...

I had the almost identical piece last year.
It's Manuel Porcayo Figueroa who is a nephew of the famed Jose Luis Flores and has a shop in Taxco called Hecho a Mano which means Made by Hand.
